Cookie Policy
How Max Layer uses cookies and browser storage, and how you can control them.

What cookies and browser storage do
Cookies are small pieces of data stored by your browser. Local storage can retain preferences on your device between visits. These technologies have different lifetimes and are not all used for tracking.
Essential functions and preferences
Sign-in and security features use cookies to maintain sessions, protect authentication requests and remember sign-in redirects. Blocking these cookies can prevent account features from working.
Browser storage may remember your chosen theme, interface preferences and cookie choice. The cookie_consent local-storage entry records accepted or denied where the consent banner is shown; local-storage entries persist until cleared by the application or your browser. Session cookies expire with their configured session lifetime.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics is currently disabled in Max Layer. We do not enable advertising cookies through the current application.
Vercel Web Analytics is an optional deployment setting. The cookie banner’s choice is not a switch for server logs or essential session cookies. Before enabling any optional technology that requires consent, we will provide the necessary information and consent controls.
External services
Loading external content or signing in with an external provider may involve that provider’s cookies or storage. Their policies apply to those services. A normal link to a social profile does not itself load a social tracking widget.
Your controls
You can inspect, block or delete cookies and site storage through your browser settings. Clearing Max Layer’s site storage also clears saved preferences and may sign you out. Where a cookie banner is displayed, you can decline optional cookies; clearing the cookie_consent entry makes that banner appear again.
Strictly necessary storage is used to provide a service you request under the applicable exception in Section 25(2) TDDDG. Other storage or access requires consent where Section 25(1) applies. Personal-data processing is additionally governed by the GDPR as explained in our Privacy Policy.
